Croshame Interview
Meet Croshame, maker of all things adorable yet a little bit sinister.
What is your favorite part about working in this medium?
Coming up with a preposterous idea, drawing it on paper, then making it into three-dimensional reality.
What is your background?
I grew up in San Francisco and graduated from the California College of Arts and Crafts with a BFA in Painting and Drawing. I begrudgingly learned (and became enamored with) crochet about two years ago, and since then have been making cute and macabre creations under the moniker Croshame. My most recent pieces combine my painting and drawing roots with my newer love for crochet.

Favorite crafty tool?
My bamboo-handled "F" hook and my La-Z Boy recliner.
Favorite fall activity?
I enjoy birdwatching a lot; I witnessed a blue heron devour an entire groundhog the other day and it was pretty spectacular.
Do you have any inspiration behind the toys you're submitting to Plush You?
Sultry horror hostesses, scary Jack-in-the Box toys, and overactive make-believe childhood relationships.
