Friday Favorite-Jeni's Ice Cream

While I was in Cleveland, Sally and family, sent me a MUCH APPRECIATED carepackage of Jeni's ice cream.  It was the sweetest (no pun intended) gift which my family and I loved.  We all sampled each flavor one night and then savored the amazing ice cream sandwiches one day at a time.  I had no idea Jeni's was actually located in Ohio until a friend said I should go check out the shop in Chagrin Falls.  I made an appoint of getting over there to try it out in person and see all the delicious flavors offered.  After MUCH DEBATE, I took the advice of the nice lady behind the counter and got one scoop of the key lime sorbet mixed with the butter cake ice cream.  It was like a key lime pie exploded in my mouth and I couldn't have been happier.  So I am really excited to see she has a cookbook, just in time for the summer!  I will be making my way to my favorite bookstore, Elliot Bay Book Co., this weekend just for this book!  I can't wait!!!  If you ever want to send flowers to a family who has recently lost someone, seriously reconsider sending ice cream or chocolate or wine.  Flowers are lovely but a standard gift.  The "out of box" gifts were a whole lot more fun!
