Granola Recipe!

I thought I would share a recipe of mine with all of you. My mom used to make delicious granola when we were kids. Since it's her birthday, I figured I would share my own granola recipe here in honor of her. It's so expensive in the stores but so easy and cheap to make at home that I don't know why people don't make it more! I have been really into experimenting with different flavors over the past year but I finally wrote down the measurements of my favorite one I have come up with thus far.
I hope you enjoy!
Schmancy Cardamon Granola
5c. rolled oats
1/2 c. whole almonds (which I then chop up)
1/4c. brown sugar (use less if you like it less sweet)
1/2c. shredded coconut
1/2c. dried fruit (cranberries, cherries, craisins, raisins, etc)
1 tsp. ground cardamon
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. lavendar salt (I used Beautiful Briny Sea Salt...it's amazing!)
1/2c. vegetable oil
1/4c. agave
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1) mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl
2) heat up wet ingredients on stove top (do not boil)
3) add wet ingredients to dry. Mix WELL! Try not to have any dry oats
4) bake at 350 degrees stirring often. Once all oats are a nice brown, take out of oven and let cool.
I make my own yogurt and this is a great addition! I try to eat this for breakfast and it fills me up nicely! Enjoy!
