Tell my readers a bit about yourself
My name is Kim and I am the artist behind 'Skippity Hop Creatures'.I am from the Grampians
( north of Scotland ) where I graduated with a degree in Fine Art - Sculpture.I now live outside
Edinburgh with my husband and three children.I began making plush art 3 years ago when my youngest started school.I have always loved working with colour and plush art allows me to work in 3 dimensions using colour !

What do you love most about making plush toys?
I love everything about making plush toys - looking for materials ( pullovers are never in short supply here in Scotland )- choosing colour combinations for the wool and felt - positioning 'button eyes' on a head - I love seeing the creature gradually come together - sometimes not quite as planned !

Is this your full time job?
Yes, I work full time on my creatures - but as yet I don't make a full time wage !

What sites do you look at for inspiration?
Illustrations in childrens books.
Sculptors such as Ana Maria Pacheco - I love her use of colour

Did you do anything fun for the summer?
I had a great time up in Fochabers ( Speyside - beautiful part of Scotland,but quite cold! )
with my twin sister and our five children !
