Let's all say a big welcome to Heather Saunders of Needlings!

What is your favorite part about working in this medium?
I love the plush world for its amazing variety in styles and I love making plush because the process of taking bits of felts and fabrics and putting them together to create something with a face has always been more appealing to me than drawing one.

What is your background?
I'm a longtime self-taught sewer, crafter, designer and doodler with a background in English and writing.  Plush-making and Needlings is my full-time commitment now and I couldn't be happier with it.

Favorite crafty tool?
My big heavy duty surgical strength embroidery needle or a pair of freshly sharpened scissors.

Favorite fall activity?
Checking out crinkly-covered books from the library and reading them under an orange-leaved tree.  Or apple picking.  Or hay rides.  I love fall.

Did you have any inspiration behind the toys you are submitting for Plush You!?Crazy haired girls, cute dresses, owls, bunnies, and cats, and to a smaller extent, me!  I'm a beglassesed owl-lover myself.
