Pink Cheeks Studios Interview
Say hello to Pink Cheeks Studios, the sweetest cheeks around.
What is your favorite part about working in this medium?
I love that plushies are accessible to almost everyone. Most people can look at a doll and feel nostalgic for their childhood, so it's nice to be able to reach people that way.

What is your background?
I studied painting at Memphis College of Art and taught myself to sew many years later. Before that I had a fascination with puppets and I even was able to take a traditional marionette workshop in Prague taught by a Czech puppet master! I couldn't afford all the wooden tools though, and a sewing machine seemed like something I could manage, so I began making plushies.
Favorite crafty tool?
A nice pair of scissors.
Favorite fall activity?
Everything pumpkin: picking, carving, spiced lattes drinking.
Did you have any inspiration behind the toys you are submitting for Plush You!?
Strong Men are my inspiration. Who doesn't love a man that can lift a piano over his head?
